Hygienic process connection

ISO 2852 Clamp / Inch clamp

 

 

The clamp connection is mainly used in the food industry. These process connections are also used in the pharmaceutical industry. The sensors can be connected to pipes or tanks. Connection to the process is done using a clamp locking mechanism.

Clamp according to DIN 32676

 

 

Clamps according to DIN 32676 are designed connecting pipes according to
DIN 11850. Connection to the process is done using a clamp locking mechanism.

DIN 11851 Fittings for food, chemical and pharmaceutical industry

  

The DIN 11851 fittings for food, chemical and pharmaceutical industry according to DIN 11851 are the most used process connection in the food industry. It can be used on both tanks and pipes. The low costs are the advantage of this type of connection. A disadvantage is the not flush mounted gasket.

 

 

  

 

 

  

DIN 11864-1 Form A (Aseptic connection)

  

The aseptic connection according to DIN 11864 - 1/2 was designed due to the already known hygiene problems in the sealing area of the DIN 11851 connection. The DIN 11864 was created on the basis of the regulations and with collaboration of the EHEDG (European Hygienic Equipment Design Group). Up to now there are, however, two different parallel versions. Form A seals using an O-ring, Form B using a shaped gasket.

 
   

 

 

  

Cylindrical weld-on adapter

  

The welding done on the cylindrical weld-on adapter to the process must be carried out with all due care and attention (correct welding materials, weld radius > 3 mm, no dips, folds, splits,...). The thermometer can only be mounted orthogonal to the wall.

 

 

 

  

Spherical cylindrical weld-on adapter:

  

The welding done on the spherical cylindrical weld-on adapter to the process must be carried out with all due care and attention (correct welding materials, weld radius > 3 mm, no dips, folds, splits,...). The sphere enables simple installation and also a non orthogonal position in the process. This can avoid turbulances and dead spaces and realizes a longer immersion length in smaller pipes.

 

 

 

    

Liquiphant-M G1"

    

The connection to the process is made by screwing in the Liquiphant-M G1" thread. The Ingold Liquiphant-M G1" connection is delivered with a fitted O-ring.The O-ring material (silicone) is compatible to the requirements laid down in the FDA CFR Title 21, § 177.2600 (maximum temperature 230°C).

 

 

 

    
Varivent    

The Varivent Inline connection has the advantage of an exceptionally good front end instrumetation connection. Through the use of the Varivent inline housing an easy cleaning gauge can be realized.

 
     

 

 

    
SMS    

The SMS process connection is mainly used in the Scandanavian countries as well as France. Sensors can be fitted to tanks and pipe lines. It is similar to the DIN 11851.
